Calibration Certificates

As an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration laboratory, we are required to maintain standardized calibration certificates. This standardization provides our clients with the ultimate level of confidence in our services, as they can guarantee that all their data is not only being represented accurately, but that it is fully traceable.

Best of all, every one of our calibration certificates are generated completely free of charge.

Certificate Naming Convention

One of the major requirements of our ISO 17025 accreditation is creating a certificate naming convention. ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Section 5.10.2.c requires:

"Unique identification of the test report or calibration certificate."

You may have noticed a unique convention used for the naming of documents within Fox Valley Metrology's daily operations. Due to the large number of documents created by Fox Valley Metrology every single day, it is imperative that we create a unique name for each document that eliminates the possibility of duplication, yet is simple to understand and use. The documents created that utilize this naming convention include:

• Calibration Certificates
• Quotations
• On-Site Job Numbers
• Internal Reference Number
• Purchase Orders

The naming convention is quite simple. Each character has a meaning. This convention is as follows:

As you can see, there is no possible chance of duplication within this system. Even if two documents are created at the same time, they cannot be assigned the same ID, as the document would have been created on different computers. This attention to detail allows for the highest level of data integrity and logistical control.

Calibration Labels

Additionally, with every calibration, we provide a free calibration label. The label is cut to size and secured on each gage.

On each label is a custom generated DataMatrix barcode. When used in conjunction with a scanner, this barcode allows you to efficiently and accurately enter the gage's ID into any software you utilizing.

Unfortunately, due to the grimy, gritty, dirty environments calibration labels like to fall off. The good news is you never have to wait several days to get a new label, with the ability for you to re-print labels directly from your site on Metrology360, completely free!
