Fox Valley Metrology Volunteers Pay it Forward

Our very own Fox Valley Metrology Weigh Team had another successful year at the 12th Annual Battle on Bago! If you haven’t participated in what is know as the largest ice fishing tournament in the world, you are definitely missing out. Just because you may be one who doesn’t like to battle the cold, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy this awesome event. With it’s signature Friday night fish fry, live music for two of the three nights and more than $275,000 given away in cash and prizes, it’s an event you don’t want to miss!

This year the event sold 13,500 fishing tickets and the Fox Valley Metrology Team weighed in over 5490 fish. The record number of fish weighed in was back in 2018 with over 11,000 fish. The weigh team has created and design the most seamless system for any fishing event. The team consists of 50 FVM volunteers and countless hours to help make the event a success. 18 weigh stations are set up to accommodate the amount of fish that come in and the team is very efficient in getting the fishermen weighed in and out to enjoy the live music, food and fun.
