Clamp Meter Instrument Information
An Electronic meter containing a lever activated clamp that combines a basic digital multimeters with a current Sensor. The jaws are used to clamp onto a wire and measure current at any point in a system, without disconnecting the system. Typically, the meter also has parts for connecting other probes to measure voltage and resistance.

Common Uses
- Measuring the current in a system where it is preferred to not disconnect the entire system, due to safety and convenience.
- Measuring current over the limit for a digital multimeters (10 A for 30+ seconds).
- Measuring voltage and resistance in an electric system.
