Gauss Meter Instrument Information
A Gauss meter is an electronic device containing a sensor that is used for measuring the strength of a magnetic field. In a typical Gauss meter, a Hall-effect probe or coil sensor detects the magnetic flux density when placed within the field. An electrical signal is then generated based on the field strength, which is processed and displayed as a measurement in Gauss or Tesla.
