Oscilloscope Instrument Information
A very common electronic test instrument which graphs an electrical signal over time, typically with a two-dimensional display located on the device. It operates by having probes plugged into the base unit on one end and an electrical signal on the other. The vertical (voltage) and horizontal (time) adjustment knobs are then tweaked to bring the waveform into focus on the display so measurements of the electrical signal’s timing and voltage characteristics can be explored.
