EFT/Burst Generator Instrument Information
An EFT/Burst generator is an electronic device containing high-voltage circuits that is used for testing a device’s immunity to electrical fast transients (EFT). In a typical setup, the generator applies rapid bursts of high-frequency voltage pulses to the device under test, simulating disturbances caused by switching transients in power lines. The response of the device is then measured to evaluate its resistance to electrical noise.
