Flow Meter Instrument Information
A device used to measure the flow rate past a certain point in a system. The meter is typically mounted directly on the pipe or tube, in line with the system flow. The construction of a flow meter varies drastically depending on the type of meter.
Common Uses
- Measuring the flow rate of a fluid in a manufactured system, such as in a gas supply to an engine, ingredients in a food manufacturing process or coolant being supplied to a machine.
