Accelerometer Instrument Information
An electromechanical devices which measures acceleration forces, such as static ones (gravity) or dynamic ones (moving or vibrating). One common type is capacitance accelerometers. In this type, two microstructures are placed next to each other, which creates a capacitance. As these structures move, the capacitance is changed, which creates a voltage. This voltage is measured and calculated into acceleration.

Common Uses
- Impact studies of collisions.
- Triggering a cell phone screen to rotate.
- Vibration analysis in things such as tires and air conditioners.
