Permmeter Instrument Information

A device which test the permeability (the ease of gases passing through) of sand used in the foundry industry. The device contains a place for air to be supplied, a three-way valve, a place for the test specimen tube to be placed and a pressure gage. Air is delivered to the system at a constant pressure, while the drop in pressure is measured. The pressure gage is calibrated to show the permeability readings directly.
