Sand Strength Tester Instrument Information
A piece of equipment used to test the strength of a molding sand specimen, checking core, tensile, compression and transverse strength. There are many designs, but commonly the specimen is loaded into a platform, while a rod is pushed down onto the specimen. A force is then measured and relayed to the readout or computer interface.

Common Uses
Measuring strength characteristics of test specimens of molding sand, used in the foundry industry for creating castings.
