Cylindrical Rings Instrument Information
Metallic gage often containing a “Go” (intended to check the upper limit of a tolerance) and a “No-Go” (intended to check the lower limit of a tolerance) set. The gage does not return an actual measurement. The “Go” gage is intended to fit on the dimension, the “No-Go” end is not intended to. If both conditions are met, the dimension passes. If either condition fails, the dimension fails.
Common Uses
Quick determination whether a dimension has met its tolerance limits, where actual measurements are not required.
Mastering other measuring equipment, such as bore gages and internal micrometers.
