Spacer Blocks Instrument Information
A metallic bar, with a metallic cylinder at each end, with their centers precisely distanced. The top of the bar is parallel to the centers of the cylinders. The sine bar is used with a gage block, raising one end of the bar a known distance off the level surface. Trigonometry is then used to calculate the hypotenuse or angle created.
