Tapered Thread Ring Gages Instrument Information
A metallic ring machined to a precise diameter and taper and threaded to a precise size. The gage is screwed onto the internal thread of a tapered machined part. The machined thread is considered in tolerance if the face of the ring is within one turn (plus or minus) from being flush with the end of the machined thread.

Common Uses
- Verifying external threads on machine parts, such as pipes and tubing.
