Hardness Tester Instrument Information
A piece of equipment used to test the hardness of green sand (a combination of basic sand, bentonite, pitch powder and uninvited dust) molds and cores. The simple device contains a tester probe and a dial or digital readout. The operator simply presses the tester against the sand and notes the reading.
