Chamfer Gages Instrument Information
An instrument containing a measurement readout on one end and a plunger with several angled points to it on the other. The plunger is inserted into a tapered or chamfered hole having an included angle less than that of the plunger. As the plunger is depressed, the readout does provides the top (major) diameter of the hole.

- Measurement of the top diameter of a tapered or chamfered hole, such as hydraulic fittings, valve seats and countersinks.
