Magnetic Thickness Tester Instrument Information
A portable thickness gage that uses a magnetic method to determine the thickness of a nonferrous test material. The device comes with a small metallic ball. When the ball is placed on one side of the material and the magnetic probe connected to the unit is placed on the other, the unit measures the distance between the probe and the ball using the Hall effect. The resulting thickness is then displayed on the unit.
