Micrometer Instrument Information
An instrument containing a calibrated screw on one end and a pair of jaws (or cylinders) on the other end, with one of these being fixed and the other movable. The calibrated screw is turned until the contact points touch the wall of the part being measured and a reading is shown on the measurement readout. One of the most common measuring instruments available.
