Temperature Controller Instrument Information
A device which accepts a temperature input from a sensor (such as a thermocouple or RTD probe), compares it to the desired setpoint and provides an output to a controlled device that regulates the temperature of the system being controlled.

Common Uses
Control of processes where temperature of the medium being measured (commonly of liquid, air, gas and surfaces) is critical.
