Thermocouples Instrument Information
A widely-used sensor which measures temperature, consisting of two wires made of different metals joined together to form two junctions. One junction is kept at a precisely known temperature, while the other junction is placed into an area where the temperature is to be determined. The resulting temperature difference will create a voltage (dependent on the types of metals used). This voltage is then sent to an instrument calibrated to the types of metals being used and a temperature readout is provided.

Common Uses
Temperature measurement in many industrial applications, such as ovens, kilns, furnaces, and freezer.
