Tachometer Instrument Information
A device which measures the rotational speed of a shaft or disk. In most digital systems, the device counts the number of pulsations of voltage in a system during a given period of time. It then converts this signal into a readout on the display of the device.

Common Uses
- Measuring the rotational speed of a shaft or disk, such as an engine’s crankshaft, a spinning part on a machine, a lathe or a sander.
