Torque Screwdriver Instrument Information
A screwdriver containing a device called a torque-limiting clutch, which allows a user to tighten a fastener to a specified torque. The torque limiting clutch is comprised of steel balls rolling between indented plates, with a spring compressing the system on one end and the screwdriver head on the other. Once the intended torque is reached, the clutch disengages ensuring the exact torque required has been applied.
